I’m back with more of my favorite travel items for USA and international trips. If you missed my first list, you can find it here: Must-Have Extended Travel Essentials.

Picking the right travel bags

I choose which bags to bring based on the location I’m traveling to and the weather. If it’s warmer weather, I’ll travel light. If it’s cold, I’ll bring different bags to hold warm-weather accessories throughout my touring days.

  • The LOVEVOOK 35L Carry On Travel Backpack opens like a suitcase counts as my personal item when flying. It fits under the seat in front of me and holds my laptop, iPad, wellness bag, snacks, and electronic accessories. While it comes in larger sizes, I find this one complies with most airline personal item measurement requirements.
  • I use the TUMI – Voyageur Denver Backpack when I want to carry more items with me during the day but don’t want the bulk of the LoveVook backpack. I love this one because it’s sleek, holds a small laptop, iPad, a waterbottle, has multiple pockets, and can slip over a luggage handle.
  • When I’m concerned about theft, I use Travelon Bags. They are all slash-resistant and use anti-theft clips to secure the zippers in place. They also have an interior organizer with RFID blocking passport and card slots, a zip wall pocket, and a tethered key clip. The straps can also be clipped onto a chair while out dining.

Caring for clothes

  • I always carry a Tide To Go Pen when I travel and at home. It quickly removes stains before they can set. This helps reduce anxiety when traveling with limited access to laundry facilities.
  • Downy Wrinkle Releaser Spray is magic in a bottle. My clothes are often wrinkled upon arrival at my destination, and using this spray easily restores them to their wrinkle-free state.

Useful to have travel items

  • A Travel Umbrella just makes sense to always bring. I’ve been caught without one too many times and always end up buying one. This one is compact and comes with a case.
  • I didn’t know how much I’d love using a Phone Lanyard. It gave me peace of mind to know my phone was always on my body, no matter which bag I was using or how many layers I was wearing.
  • The VENTY Portable Fan was a surprise gift from my husband to use on a cruise. It kept me cool at night (since I’m going through perimenopause), and it has many great functions. The adjustable height allows it to be a floor fan or a tabletop one, it oscillates, has a night light, and also serves as a power bank.
  • The TUMI – Voyageur Madeline Cosmetic Bag is a great bathroom bag that has 3 waterproof sections, a removable pouch, and a hook to hang.
  • This Rechargeable Portable Bidet for Travel is a new item that exceeded my expectations. It’s compact, holds plenty of water, and has multiple output settings.

In Conclusion

I love to travel and explore the world. These items have allowed my creature comforts to travel along with me while away from home. Many are also useful in my everyday life.

Please take what you find useful and leave the rest behind. You’re the only one who knows what will work best for you, but I do recommend them all!
