A good journal for mixed media and watercolors.
Strathmore Watercolor Journal
My first art journal that I still enjoy using in both the 9×12 and 5×8 sizes.
Strathmore Toned Tan Sketch Pad
I have both the 9×12 and 5.5×8 sizes. I love using these for portrait sketching in graphite with white gel pen details.
Golden Regular Gel Matte Medium
Great for gluing collage elements, extend paints and build texture.
Dina Wakley Brush Set
A good overall set that are firm and hold up to a lot of use in journals.
Dina Wakley Media Brushes 2-Pack
Another pair of Dina Wakley Brushes that I use often.
Prismacolor Colored Pencils
These pencils glide on smoothly and are high quality.
Stabilo CarbOthello Pastel Pencils
I love using these in pastel art pieces as well as in portrait drawings in my Strathmore Toned Tan Sketch Pad.
Caran d'Ache Neocolor II Water Soluble Pastels
You can use as crayons or add water to make watercolor paint. I especially love bringing these when traveling.
Washi Tape
These tapes come in many colors and designs. They can be removed without damaging the paper and make great additions to art journals.
Shiva Oil Paintstiks
An easy and less messy way to add oil paint to your artwork.
Faber-Castell Gelatos
Great for mixed media. These glide on smoothly and are fun to add to stamps. They can also be activated with water.
Golden Open Acrylic Paint
A great middle ground between oil and acrylic paints. These dry slower than regular acrylics but faster than oils.
Golden Fluid Acrylic Paint
Vibrant in color and meant to last. You can’t get much better than golden paints.
Golden Heavy Body Acrylic Paint
Thicker paint that holds its form. Great color and lightfastness.
Jack Richeson Porcelain Nesting Bowls
I love these for mixing paints, holding painting mediums, and also as photo props.
Gelli Arts Gel Printing Plate
Once you try mono-printing with this gel plate, you’ll be hooked!
Speedball Rubber Brayer
Use this to add paint to your gelli plate or to add/move paint around your artwork.
Deli Wax Paper
Use with the gelli printing plate to make mono prints. When glued down the paper becomes transparent.
Sharpie Water-Based Paint Markers
Great for adding line details to your art and also very affordable.
Stabilo All Pencil
Comes in a variety of colors and can write on different types of surfaces. Can also activate it with water.
Uni-Ball Signo White Gel Pen
Glides on smoothly and is bright white. I like using them in my art journals.
H-Frame Tabletop Easel
I prefer to work with my substrate vertically in front of me, and this easel is lightweight and portable. I have many of these!
Palette Knife Set
A good variety of sizes and shapes in this set. I prefer metal ones instead of plastic.
