I believe you have a purpose

The Ignite Your Life Retreat offers a deeply awakening, intuitive journey in a space of freedom, without judgement or expectations.

You’re invited to come find your inner fire with us! The Ignite Your Life Retreat is an escape to focus on what matters most – reconnecting with yourself and learning how to manage your time so that you can do more of what makes you happy!

It’s a creative & spiritual journey into your empowerment, helping you to discover your passions by exploring creativity through art, movement, meditation and more, while also learning practical skills such as time-management & goal setting. You’ll dive into discovering who YOU really are so you can say “no” to what isn’t in alignment and spend your time doing what matters most.

You’ll walk away from the retreat feeling relaxed and confident in your plan for living a more balanced life filled purpose, connection and fun!

“I believe that each of us has a unique path to walk, and the more time we dedicate to discovering who we are and what lights us up, the more we give others permission to do the same. This is how we can heal the world – by first healing ourselves.” – Lulu

What We’ll Do

Creativity is a powerful form of personal expression that’s available to everyone. Whether it be through art, music, or writing, creativity can show who you are and what matters most to you in life.

Even if you think you’re not creative – think again! Everyone has a unique, creative voice tucked away deep inside just waiting to come out. In our time together, we’ll explore how creativity can offer us guidance in the most unexpected ways. This includes:

Art Projects
Connect with your creative wisdom for healing and receiving clarity for what you need in this moment.

Guided Meditations
Uncover what you need to hear by finding your authentic voice and giving it permission to guide the way.

Movement
Explore dancing and movement to connect with your body’s energy & rhythm and allow your body to express itself in a way that feels true.

Writing
Give voice to your inner guide as you find a new way of expressing yourself in a safe and supportive container.

Intuitive Exploration
Practice using spiritual tools to strengthen your intuition to know the action steps that are in alignment at each moment.

Sacred Circle
Harness the power of women supporting women to celebrate, support, and honor the soul sisters called to meet.

Workshops at each retreat vary, but the goal is clear – to reconnect with yourself and learn how to manage your time so that you can do more of what makes you happy!

Meet Your Retreat Guide

I’m Lulu. I’m a painter, dancer, and Life Igniter. I believe we are here to create a life of meaning, and to have fun while doing it! I help women go from wishing, dreaming, and talking about what they want to do, to taking action so they have the self-confidence and courage to pursue their passions and share their light with the world.

I believe that having fun is an essential part of any day, and that when you prioritize joy and gratitude in your life, you’re able to bounce back from harder times much easier.

As a mom of four, I know how important it is to take care of myself so I can show up better for others. I created a business around this mission, offering workshops and retreats for other women who want the same thing that I do – more joy!

I’ve known Lulu for many years and can say that she leads with a gentle heart and soul. I recently had the opportunity to work with her in a female, group coaching setting, to create art and conversation around being the best version possible of yourself. It was a delight to tap into different mediums of journaling and art to get to the heart of what may be holding you back or missing from your life. I enjoyed the sisterhood of the group and the guided instruction Lulu provided on our coursework. She provides a loving, no pressure environment to learn and discover at your own pace. I definitely recommend spending some time with Lulu to hear her thoughts on empowerment, relationships and loving yourself. You won’t regret it!

Art with Soul

I love combining art with personal development. It’s a transformational pairing that heals me at a deep level and opens space for me to receive guidance from my inutition. I call it Art with Soul. Not only do you learn about making art, but you learn about yourself at the same time! It’s a process like no other, and I can’t wait to show you why I love it.

The best part is that you don’t need to be naturally creative to make good art. The workshops are designed for beginner and experienced creatives alike. What’s most important is that you show up and are willing to try something different.

Art projects often include mixed media, intuitive painting, assemblage, doodling, writing, and lots of fun techniques. Here’s some examples:

Taking Ignite Your Life has changed my perspective on being a mother and a woman. I struggled with taking time for myself and putting myself first without having guilt to go along with it. I also struggled with self love and acceptance. Slowly throughout the journey of the class I began seeing myself in a different light- more grace for my imperfections and more self love and confidence. I started making a little time for myself each week to do something that brought me joy and relaxation. I originally signed up to get myself back to feeling like an individual again – what does “Kelly” like to do, not what should I be as a wife or a mother, just as an individual. I also found that painting was much more therapeutic and peaceful than I thought it would be! The thing I loved most about this course is there was no judgements and no fear. I had the feeling that I could do anything I wanted to… no dream was too big! A couple of my favorite art projects we did were the dream catcher and the wish list for our life if we could start from beginning. I also think the ‘Ignite Your Life’ System is great! With this system, there is no time or room for excuses! I have more confidence that I will be a stronger mother, wife and person who will fulfill her passions and start living a more fulfilled day, week, month and year!

Make Time For Your Dreams

One of the questions I’m asked most often is “How do you have time to do it all?” Well, I’ll show you how!

You’ll get a crash course of my signature time-management system – “Ignite Your Life; Design your life to do it all.” This will give you the step-by-step framework for goal planning, scheduling, and dream building.

With this system and workbook, you’ll know what is in alignment for you so you can confidently say “no” to what takes you away from doing what truly matters. Use the worksheets for years to come so you can revisit your goals and become a woman who lives an Ignited Life full of joy!

I wanted to join Ignite Your Life because of my deep desire to create and find my inner artist, as well as continuing the spirit journey I have been embarking on. I thought combining art with self-reflection would be a great opportunity to uncover these pieces of my soul. The idea of homework was initially daunting, but as with any important self-discovery action, necessary. Sometimes the questions were easy to identify with, but more often than not, they (sometimes uncomfortably) nudged me to dive down deeper within myself (and not “get stuck” at the surface). The art activities gave me the freedom to play and express my feelings/desires prompted by the homework. This was therapeutic in a much different way than talking to a therapist. It felt much more proactive and healing. This experience gave me the prompt I needed to start pursuing my passions in life. I now give myself permission to “just play” with art and will reconsider the assignments at any time when I’m feeling stuck. Thank you, Lulu, for supporting me in this journey.

FAQ’s

Q: What do I need to bring?
~ We want you to feel completely taken care of, which is why we are providing all the materials you’ll need for the workshops. If you have your own favorite art materials, feel free to bring them along. We suggest dressing comfortably, and wearing clothes you won’t mind getting dirty (just in case). Also, please bring any personal toiletries.

Q: What if I have special dietary preferences or restrictions?
~ We’ll make every effort to accommodate your dietary needs. Please let us know at least 4 weeks prior to the retreat what you require. A grocery store is located nearby if you need to supplement what we offer.

Q: What if I can’t make it to the retreat and need to cancel?
~ There are no refunds for the retreat once you register unless we are able to fill your spot. If we fill your spot, there will be a $50 cancellation fee deducted from your refund.

Should we need to postpone the retreat due to weather or other extenuating circumstances, we will contact you about the new dates and give you the option to attend or receive a refund.

Q: What if I am not creative?
~ Being creative is an innate gift that we all possess. You don’t need to know how to draw a straight line in order to tap into your creative wisdom. All of the workshops are for beginners and experienced creatives alike. We ask that you be brave, show up, and trust that you’re in good hands.

Q: Will there be a workshop only option for people who live locally?
~ We feel that immersing yourself into the retreat environment by distancing yourself from your obligations and clearing your calendar is vitally important to the unwinding and tapping-in process. Therefore, we will not be offering a workshop only option at this time.

Q: What are your COVID-19 precautions?
~ In order to create a safe space for all involved, and out of respect for the home owner, we require all participants to be  vaccinated against COVID-19. This includes the 2 week wait time post vaccination.

I wanted to make space in my week to explore my life and my journey through art. This turned into much more! I wanted to ignite myself and be excited – I was feeling SO tired – I needed something to help pull me along. I liked that this combined the two and gave me a weekly focus to do so. I also liked that it was cultivated – there is a value to having a guide to lead you through this process. I’m always a person who will go for the guidebook and I like Lulu’s vision and her positive energy.
During the course, I began to make a lot more space for what I wanted and needed. I also found myself doing things to care for myself that were previously out of my comfort zone.
At the beginning, Lulu said you’d get out of the course what you put into it. And intellectually I understood that. But I found as the course went on, my investment became more fierce. The questions were really big questions – the kind of questions you couldn’t answer in 10 minutes. This began to change ME and my approach to the course work. I found myself beginning to make more space and time around completing assignments. I found that my authenticity and creativity became stronger through exploring these questions and as the class time went on. It pushed me to explore myself and my life: past, present, and future. This was good because I hadn’t taken time to explore my life this deeply for many years.

Lulu’s vision and positive energy, as well as the addition of art, were all unique elements. Lulu is good at explaining things in a clear way, while managing to assign deeper meaning. I trust Lulu as my teacher. She delivers what she says she will. This seems so simple, but there is really something to that.

Working with Lulu was amazing. Lulu provides a safe and loving environment to be YOU without judgement. She is interested in what we create by ourselves with her instructions and without. She is encouraging and kind. My experience was awesome… People should want to work with her because of the intention and love she brings to her work.
